If you’re one of the many people living with chronic kidney disease (CKD) who also have cardiovascular disease (including heart attack or stroke), this isn’t the end of the story. Consider joining the ZEUS Study, with expert care, where your health is at the center.
Are 18 years of age or older
Have had a stroke or heart attack, and have insufficient blood flow in your legs
Have chronic kidney disease that does not require dialysis or a transplant
Are able to attend regular clinic visits and receive phone calls for the length of the study
Even with the best treatment and standard of care, many people with cardiovascular disease remain at risk of having a heart attack or a stroke. That’s because sometimes fat builds up in blood vessels, a condition called atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis is partly driven by a bodily process known as inflammation. At the moment, there is no approved treatment option to manage this type of inflammation.
We need clinical research to find safe and effective treatment options for everyone. This is where the ZEUS Study comes in. The study medicine being investigated is an antibody that targets inflammation that leads to the build-up of fat in the blood vessels. Antibodies are proteins that target and neutralize unwanted objects in the body.
